We offer a variety of classes and series to meet the needs of your growing family. Yoga is a beneficial way to keep harmony in a growing household while changes big and small are taking place rapidly! These specialized classes create an environment of peers in which you can share, strengthen and find comfort as a community, in addition to focusing on your individual practice for restoration and balance. Prenatal Yoga drop-in classes (no registration required)

Please note that due to trainings in the studio, Prenatal Yoga will be at 11:00 am – 12:15 pm on Saturdays, March 11, April 8, April 29 and May 6.

Classes provide a safe and peaceful environment to explore physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy. Yoga poses and sequencing focus on strengthening muscles related to supporting a pregnant body, including the back, legs, seat and pelvic floor. Flowing sequences are aimed at improving circulation and increasing overall comfort, while specific postures are aimed at keep the sacrum balanced to help with positioning baby for optimum labor and birth conditions. Breathing exercises and visualization are also introduced to aid in labor and delivery and stress reduction in general. You may start classes as early in your pregnancy as your feel comfortable, however, please consult with your healthcare provider for more direction specific to your body and pregnancy.

Prenatal Partner Yoga & Massage Workshops

Offered Quarterly | Annie Damsky & Adrian Ward | $65 per couple
Share this special time together finding support and creating space for your growing family. Partners will receive the benefit of massage as they learn the technique through hands-on instruction before practicing the techniques on mom! Massage techniques target back, hips, feet and neck, in addition to general soothing practices that will help couples to work together to relieve some of the discomforts of pregnancy. Yoga and breathing exercises to prepare for and to assist in relieving the sensations that arise during labor and delivery. The workshop creates an approachable, relaxed atmosphere to bond as partners, finding physical and emotional strength as you continue to journey through pregnancy, labor and delivery. No yoga experience necessary; suitable for all trimesters; attend with your significant other or your birth partner. Please bring pillows and an exercise ball if you have one.

Parent & Baby Yoga

Wednesdays, 11:30 am-12:15 pm | Annie Damsky 
This class focuses on deepening the caregiver/child bond. Baby’s development is enriched through interactive yoga movements. Core yoga poses help mom regain physical strength and balance, while calming emotions and releasing tension. For 4-weeks to crawling; please receive doctor’s approval before coming to class if you have recently delivered. 

Toddler Playtime Yoga

First Saturdays, 11:30 am – 12:00 pm | Katherine Bromberg | $15 per parent/child, $5 per additional family member 
Unlock your inner child and your baby/toddler’s authentic rhythm through healthy, happy fun while engaging in creative movement and expression. Using song, instruments and storytelling, we will move, laugh and play while learning yoga poses inspired by animals, nature, the season and more. For ages 4 months – 3 years
 

Family Yoga 

Ages 3+ | Second Saturdays, 9:00 – 9:45 am | Annie Damsky | $15 per parent/child, $5 per additional family member | Beginning in March, classes will be held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
Enjoy this unique opportunity for healthy fun with the whole family. This is an energetic class incorporating individual and partner yoga poses, songs, storytelling and guided relaxation. Classes help to build strength, bone density, flexibility and developing balance. Techniques for stilling and focusing the mind are also introduced.
