Yoga comes in various incarnations, however, it is a discipline that can be practiced by all. Through our practice, we learn to be mindful of our bodies – physical, mental and emotional. Using the focus on our breathing to turn attention inward, the mind can start to still the seemingly endless mental chatter and we can begin to find openness to all that surrounds us. Our movement on the mat helps to release stress and tension so that we can shed the layers that keep us from this physical, mental and emotional openness, clarity and peace. Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm | Emilie Maynor | $95 for full 6-week series
This series focuses on the foundations of Hatha Yoga in a hands-on, “how-to” format. Traditional poses and breathing exercises will be introduced and built upon each week. While this class appeals to beginners, it is also an opportunity for those rediscovering their practice or those wanting to reconnect with the foundations of the discipline.

Add a quiet break to your week. Practice your yoga with reverence as you close your eyes and observe your breath in a gentle yoga practice that slows you down and brings you more fully into the moment. We will add props as needed to find a comfortable seated position. For all levels.

This class offers an open, encouraging and fun environment where students will be guided through creative sequences aimed at exploring the depth of their individual practice and the strength of their minds and bodies. Open to all levels, this practice will help students gain flexibility, strength and coordination. Incorporating breathing techniques and slow flowing movements, students will enhance cardiovascular health, mental clarity and overall well-being. This class has a gentle to moderate pace.

Yoga for healing offers a gentle class for those who seek a slower physical release and a softer approach to understanding how yoga can help heal physical, emotional and mental stress and pain. This class is good for those who are new to yoga or movement, those who have not practiced in a long time and those who prefer more focused guidance from the instructor.
Wednesdays, 10:00-11:15 am | Marie Blair
Marie guides students to tap into their strength, flexibility and balance with slow and subtle movement. She invites all to directly observe their experience of breath and changing sensation with a gentle flow and a guided meditation. Ideal for those looking for a gently-paced class, those beginning yoga for the first time, or those returning to their yoga practice after some time away. Also a good class for past participants in Marie’s Persistent Pain series.
Thursdays, 9:30 – 10:45 am | Keeley Michael
During this class, you will learn how the tools of yoga help correct structural imbalances, alleviate and manage pain, and reduce anxiety. You will experience the heart of yoga’s effect through practices of gentle movement, breath work, and simple meditation. This is a slower paced class, appropriate for anyone who can get up and down from the floor 2-3 times during class. While the pace is slow and mindful, this class will challenge balance, strength and flexibility. Modifications will be given so each student can practice at their ideal level.
Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm | Shannon Hancock
Deep Peace Yoga will be a delicious fusion of yin-yoga (deep long holds of postures which emphasize a balance between strength and flexibility) and restorative postures which help you sink deeper into your personal practice, space and healing learning to become more comfortable in your body and resting in stillness. Sound healing and yoga nidra will also be frequently used in savasana to promote total relaxation!

By discovering the alignment that works best for your body, you are able to challenge your strength, flexibility and mobility and, most importantly, stay present from moment to moment of your practice. Appropriate for beginners to seasoned practitioners, this class uses the tools of breath awareness, both traditional and non-traditional poses, functional movement, and props, such as blankets and blocks, to help you find the support you need to adapt your practice to your unique body. Chair Yoga provides a supportive practice for those who want to explore the benefits of yoga, however do not find it comfortable to sit on the floor, transition frequently from floor sitting to standing and/or have limited mobility due to injury, body type or age. This class incorporates movements to stretch and strengthen the body and breathing and meditation exercises to release stress and calm the mind. Chairs are provided.

Classes provide a safe and peaceful environment to explore physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy. Yoga poses and sequencing focus on strengthening muscles related to supporting a pregnant body, including the back, legs, seat and pelvic floor. Flowing sequences are aimed at improving circulation and increasing overall comfort, while specific postures are aimed at keep the sacrum balanced to help with positioning baby for optimum labor and birth conditions. Breathing exercises and visualization are also introduced to aid in labor and delivery and stress reduction in general. You may start classes as early in your pregnancy as your feel comfortable, however, please consult with your healthcare provider for more direction specific to your body and pregnancy.

Connect with the energy of the season to balance the body and revitalize the mind. Elemental Yoga Therapy (EYT) uses yoga as a therapeutic tool to balance our internal environment with the world around us. In this class, Emilie will guide you through physical postures and sequencing designed to ignite movement and harmonize with the wisdom of the subtle body. This class will deepen your mind-body connection and give you tools to connect with nature’s natural energy. Class has a medium pace and is open to all levels.

Begin your week or weekend with a practice to help you plug into your heart and disconnect from your workday head. Beginning with deep warming movement, this class builds up to strong flowing sequences and hearty balance postures. As you burn off tension and stress, a sense of stillness will fill you through a grounded cooling sequence- the result being a light and strong body, a balanced mind and a peaceful heart. For beginners to intermediate, class has a moderate pace.

This flow-style class works in cycles to move students through a series of yoga postures to re-awaken the mind/body connection. The class format begins with easy breath work accompanied by circular movements to lubricate and loosen the joints. This prepares the body for a stronger flow which includes standing postures and balance postures to strengthen and tone the musculature. Then returning to seated positions, the practice focuses on increasing flexibility with long, supple stretches before a final deep rest and relaxation period to reconnect students to a place of inner peace. Tune in and reconnect to your own vitality and ability! For beginners – intermediate, class has a moderate pace. .
Mindful Vinyasa is a slower paced class, accessible to most students, focusing on moving mindfully to give your body what it needs, incorporating lots of floor work and props. This class will emphasize moving from the center of the body, exploring the deep core line of muscles. Each class will include both meditation and movement.

Fun, Focused, Relaxing, Beautiful Yoga- Come enjoy yoga where laughing, questions and smiles are always welcome. The flow is a fun, creative mix of seated and standing postures accessible to beginners and challenging for all levels. Fun Flow incorporates meditation, breath work and flowing sequences to strengthen and lengthen your body from the inside out, set to fun energetic music. Classes are comfortably warm at around 80 degrees to aid in detoxification, so a hand towel and water is recommended. Class has a moderate pace.

A mix of vinyasa and yin influenced yoga, this class will nourish both power and flexibility. This alignment based practice is a balance between the strategic and the intuitive; you will find focus and stress-relief. Vinyasa yoga incorporates flowing sequences guided by your breath, while Yin yoga introduces long sustained stretches in postures aimed at alleviating tightness in the fascia. Modifications are provided for poses so that you have the freedom to choose between challenging yourself to explore possibilities, or preserving your energy to avoid burnout. Music is selected carefully based on it’s ability to stimulate or relax. You will leave this class with a feeling of calm awareness.

Nourish yourself with this hour-long class that will carefully and deliberately touch every joint and muscle group in your body through warming vinyasa, strengthening postures and deep stretches. Offering stability, focus and calm to the middle of your day through asana (poses) + pranayam (breath), each student is provided an opportunity to find his or her strengths and benefits, and will leave feeling invigorated, centered and successful! Open to all levels, class has an medium-active pace.
Saturdays, 3:30 – 4:45 pm | Emily Pounds
This heat-building transformative yoga practice will incorporate asana in a moving meditation, linking poses with the flow of the breath, music, mantra and yoga philosophy. We will move at a steady pace building heat, endurance, flexibility and strength and ultimately, inner stillness. Expect creative sequencing and mindful alignment cues as you deepen your practice both physically and spiritually. The room will be comfortably warm (not hot) to help maintain and enhance our inner heat.
