This four classes series with Becca Impello, physical therapist and experienced yoga teacher, will highlight the known and emerging health and wellness benefits of yoga practices. Learn how to stay safe in more vigorous yoga classes, with special attention to the lower back and shoulders. Get more benefit from your regular yoga classes by understanding and experiencing the subtle and progressive ways that yoga affects your nervous system and thus your whole self. Learn short practices to incorporate into daily life to improve your physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Each class in the series will utilize yogic practices of asana (poses), pranayama (breath) and meditation. This series is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis.
Please note that Becca will not be able to diagnose or treat individual injuries during the series.
